My colon hydrotherapy Experience.
Its times I felt bloated and wasn’t using the restroom regularly. I just couldn’t understand why? Maybe I wasn’t eating properly, maybe I wasn’t getting enough fiber, maybe my food wasn’t breaking down properly. I just didn’t know what to do so I started researching colon hydrotherapy. Colon hydrotherapy also known as colonics or colon cleanse are loved by some people but hated by others.
After researching the pros and cons of colonics I decided to just go for it. I found a place with great reviews and I scheduled my appointment.
The pros of getting your colon cleanse are the reason I decided to try it are:

Although there are some great benefits to getting your colon cleanse via colon hydrotherapy there are some scary risk which almost made me second guess my decision and those risk are:
While some of the weight loss associated with colon cleansing is due to the removal of waste, it also causes the removal of fluids. Dehydration can lead to kidney failure in extreme cases.
Colon cleanses can upset the balance of electrolytes like potassium and sodium in your body. These chemicals carry electrical signals across cells, and an imbalance can lead to a loss of consciousness as well as kidney damage.
Bacterial imbalance and infection
Colon cleanses can potentially invite unhealthy bacteria into the lower digestive system with the instruments and fluids used. They also remove the healthy bacteria that can fight that infection.
Bowel perforation happens when a tear occurs in the wall of the lower intestine. It’s considered a medical emergency. Though symptoms begin with fever, pain, chills, and nausea, it can progress and even be fatal.
When you look at these risks, it literally makes you say oh hell nahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No colon hydrotherapy for me, I know you’re thinking that because I was.
I decided to follow the benefits and not focus on the risk and I'm happy I did. The process was easy and comfortable so I thought, lol. If laying on a bed and having a tube going up your rectum is considered comfortable than It was extremely comfortable, lol.
As my stomach filled up with water, my 1st instinct was to push, you don’t have to push but I decided to push. As I was pushing I could feel all of the toxins and feces coming out of me. The water helps pushes everything out.
I must admit when the water fills up your stomach, it’s a little uncomfortable and can cause slight cramps which is why pushing worked for me. I decided to select the 45min colon hydrotherapy because one hour would’ve been a little to long.
It felt good to know the toxins were leaving my colon because normal bowel movements were something that didn’t occur often for me.
After the colonic was over I literally felt “10lbs lighter” in my John Whiterspoon voice from the movie “Friday. I felt like I had to use the restroom so I ran to the restroom and soon as I sat on the toilet a bowel movement begun.
I did measure my waistline prior to the colonic and my waistline did in fact go down a ½ inch which made me very excited. In all it was a great experience and I felt so much cleaner afterward.
Your Colon is approx. 5ft long so one colon cleanse isn’t breaking the surface of removing all of the toxins or feces from your colon. Its recommended you have at least 6 colon cleanse sessions to clean the entire colon. The sessions can be as far in between as you want but it was recommended to me at least 2 weeks apart no longer than a month; but again, it’s up to you.
Overall my colon cleanse experience was a good one. I did it due to not using the restroom regularly and wanting to lose some inches off my waistline.
I always say, do what works for you and your body. Some people prefer natural detoxes, some people prefer natural colon cleanse and some people prefer to do nothing. What do you prefer?
